Weymouth Football 47 Braintree 7

The football team improved to 6 and 2 with an impressive victory over Braintree.  Senior captain C. McLevedge threw five touchdown passes to bring his season total to thirty, which leads all of Massachusetts.  Junior O. Colarusso scored four times for Weymouth, while sophomore D. Harrison found the end zone twice and senior R. Homere scored the final touchdown for the Wildcats.  The team will travel to Brookline on Saturday for a 4:00 game with the Warriors.

Boy's Soccer 1-0 over Braintree

The boys defeated Braintree at home with the goal provided by M. Lynch.  Keeper S. Greenwood and the Weymouth Defense recorded another shutout to improve the record to 13-4-2.  The team will host BC High on Monday at 6:30.

Girl's Cross Country Finishes Undefeated - Again

For the second year in a row the Lady Wildcats finished the regular season undefeated at 11 and 0.  Led by Senior captains B. Jaklitsch and J. Tevenan the team defeated Natick in convincing style.  The team will now focus on the post season and defending their State Title.

 

Girl's Soccer wins BSC Title for Second Straight Year!

The Lady Wildcats defeated Brookline 4-1 to clinch their second League title in a row.  J.Kurcievicz, M. Darling, B. Hattinger and S. Conneely all scored for Weymouth in the victory while D. Ratta added three assists.  The team will travel to Braintree on Thursday before focusing on State Tournament action.

Weymouth Football 45 Norwood 19

The team improved to 5 and 2 on the season with an important BSC victory against the Norwood Mustangs.  Quarterback C. McLevedge broke the Weymouth single season touchdown passing record by throwing four touchdowns in the game, bringing his season total to a State-leading 25 touchdown passes.  He also ran for two more touchdowns to lead the way for the offense.  Scoring the other Weymouth touchdowns were K. Bailey-Smith, S. Whouley, and O. Colarusso.  The team will host Braintree this Friday night at 7:00 PM.

Boy's Soccer knocks off Silver Lake 1-0

The boys handed Silver Lake their first loss of the season with an impressive victory at home.  The Weymouth goal was scored by J. Lynch, who also cleared a ball off the Weymouth goal line in the first half.  Along with 8 saves from S. Greenwood the team earned their 8th shutout of the season to improve to 12-3-2.

 

Girl's Soccer 3-0 over Needham

The ladies remained on top of the BSC with a victory at Needham improving their record to 12 and 4 on the season.  Scoring Weymouth's goals were S. Conneely, B. Hattinger, and J. Kimball while M. Stuart recorded 7 saves in the shut out.  The team will host Brookline on Tuesday at 5:30.

Girl's Cross Country sweeps Walpole and Braintree

The defending State Champions remained undefeated in the BSC with a sweep of a tri-meet at Walpole.  The ladies will finish the regular season on Tuesday when they host Natick.

 

Girl's Soccer 4-1 over Milton

The Lady Wildcats took over sole possession of first place with a big victory over Milton at home.  Scoring the goals for Weymouth were captain S. Conneely (two goals) and an assist, while seniors M. Darling and B. Hattinger each added a goal.

The boys improved to 11-2-2 on the season with another shutout victory.  Scoring the goals for Weymouth were T. Butler from K. Cerkez and T. Petrangelo from M. Lynch.  The team will host Needham on Thursday at 3:45.

 

 

Girl's Soccer 4-1 over Newton North

The ladies moved into a tie for first place in the BSC with an impressive victory at Newton.  M. Darling scored three goals and S. Conneely added a goal and two assists for Weymouth.  The team will host Milton Tuesday evening at 6:00.

The boy's soccer team improved to 10-2-2 on the season with a victory over the Tigers. Scoring the goals for Weymouth were J. Berg from T. Butler, S. Lanata from Berg, and M. Lynch from L. Rezende.  The team will travel to Milton on Tuesday looking to remain on top of the BSC.

 

Girl's Cross Country improves to 8 and 0

The defending State Champions defeated Brookline and Dedham to remain perfect in the BSC.  the team will travel to Walpole on Tuesday looking to continue their roll vs. Walpole and Braintree.

Boy's Cross Country improves to 6-2

The boys split a BSC meet at Brookline by defeating the Dedham Marauders while coming up a little short vs. Brookline.  The team will travel to Walpole on tuesday to take on the Rebels and Braintree.

Girl's Volleyball 3-1 over Framingham

The ladies made it two in a row with a BSC victory over Framingham.  The team will host Walpole on Friday followed by another home match with Newton North on Monday.

The boys were victorious in this matchup of the defending Herget and Carey Division Champions. 

Sophomore midfielder S. Lanata scored the game winning goal (his first career varsity goal) off a free kick service from Junior midfielder J. Berg in the 60th minute of play.  S. Greenwood recorded his 6th shutout of the season.  The win has qualified us for the MIAA state tounament for the 22nd year in a row!  The team is now  9-2-2 on the season and will host Newton North on Saturday at 12:00 due to the postponement of Friday's game.

The Lady Wildcats moved into first place in the BSC with a convincing victory at Norwood. Freshmen A. Bell scored two goals and P. Mathewson added another in the win.  The team will host Walpole on Wednesday at 3:45.

The Lady Wildcats earned their third victory of the season with a victory over Norwood.  The team will look to keep the momentum rolling when they travel to Framingham on Wednesday.

Boy's Golf defeats Braintree

The boys knocked off BSC rival Braintree at Weathervane to begin a busy week.  The team will travel to Needham on Tuesday, Braintree on Wednesday, and Framingham on Thursday.

The boys improved to 8-2-2 with a non-league victory on the road.  The team will travel to defending Herget Division champion Walpole on Wednesday for a key BSC match up.

Weymouth Football 35 Newton North 29

The football team improved to 4 and 1 with a hard-fought victory over BSC rival Newton North.  Senior QB C. McLevedge threw five touchdown passes in the victory.  S. Whouley scored three touchdowns while K. Bailey Smith and O. Colarusso added the other Weymouth touchdowns.  Colarusso also added five P.A.T.'s, an interception, and two fumble recoveries.  Weymouth will travel to Natick next Friday for a 7:00 match up with the Red and Blue.

The Lady Wildcats earned an important BSC victory at Framingham.  Senior captain S. Conneely led Weymouth with 2 goals an added an assist to M. Darling for Weymouth's third goal.  The ladies will travel to Norwood on Friday with an opportunity to move into first place in the BSC.

After battling St. John's Prep to a 1-1 tie on Saturday the boys earned a big win at home to improve to 7-1-2.  The team will host BSC rival Framingham at 3:45 on Thursday.
